About Me

Product Designer | Mechanical Engineer | Strategist

7+ year engineering professional at the intersections between industrial design, engineering, and product development

Currently working on market analysis for future products, and zero-emissions technologies with the Commercial Vehicles Development team at Hyundai America Technical Center.

I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2018, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in product design for the automobile industry. The most interesting challenges to me are developing napkin-sketch ideas into proof-of-concept builds. I enjoy working at a systems level, bridging designer and artist vision to technical engineering specifications. Human-centered design principles, from concept through manufacturing and coming full circle through the end-user experience, are integral to my engineering approach.

I'm an outdoor adventurer and love exploring my home state — I grew up in a wine-making family in northern California, in a little town called Boonville. As a result, I'm a big fan of good food, bad redneck car mods, and getting lost in the backcountry. In a previous role, I designed new products with GoWesty to help keep classic VW camper vans and adventure rigs on the road! I’m still a big fan of everything in the van and dirtbag camper community — I daily a 2002 Civic Si and am building out a 1988 4x4 Toyota Van.
